Coach Bob Bradley said his target of qualifying Egypt for the 2014 World Cup is motivating him to carry on despite the problems hindering his work.

All domestic football activities have been suspended since February’s Port Said disaster and the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has so far failed in its attempts to restart the Premier League.

Egypt are restricted to some low-key friendly games to prepare for their upcoming World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe, which will be played in March next year.

“The players’ desire and determination, and the people's dream to go to the World Cup in Brazil are what keep us going,” Bradley said in a television interview.

Egypt have made a fine start to their World Cup qualifying campaign, beating Mozambique and Guinea in their first two games.

They must finish on top of their group to advance to the decisive round, which will be played over two legs. The Pharaohs have not played at the World Cup since making their second appearance in 1990.

“Our alternative will be holding successive training camps and friendly games (if domestic football does not resume),” the American boss added.
