Egypt's U-20 defender Rami Rabea has been rendered doubtful for the African Youth Championship final match against Ghana after sustaining an ankle injury during the Egyptian team's training session on Thursday.

According to the team's doctor, the player will undergo a scan on Friday to determine the extent of the injury.

The 20-year-old is instrumental in U-20 coach Rabie Yassine's squad. He produced a string of strong performances during Egypt's successful run to the tournament's final.

The classy defender, who plays also as a midfielder, scored the winning goal in Egypt's 1-0 win over Algeria in the first round.

Egypt, who defeated Nigeria 2-0 in the semis, will face Ghana on Saturday in the tournament's final.
