Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella lauded Mohamed Salah for displaying great quality as a player, in the wake of the Egyptian forward's impressive displays for the Serie A club.

In a press conference ahead of Sunday's league game with Inter Milan, Montella spoke of his new-loan signing Salah, who managed to bring his tally to three goals in just five games for Viola, after joining during winter break on a six-month deal.

"Salah is doing very well. He has important physical abilities," former Roma forward Montella said.

"He's only 22 years old, but I still don't know whether he will withstand playing so many matches in a short period of time.

"But he's definitely a player who is showing great quality. He gives us further attacking options.

"He also has room for improvement at the tactical level, which means he could improve technically as well."

Salah's latest contribution came in the Europa League return leg 2-0 victory at Tottenham, helping Fiorentina reach the competition's last 16 with a 3-1 aggregate win after scoring their second goal of the night.
