Kouka scored 15 goals with Portuguese side Rio Ave this season to join the race for the league top scorer title

Egyptian and Rio Ave striker Ahmed Hassan 'Kouka' is chasing the Portuguese League top scorer title after netting his 15th goal with his team late on Sunday.

Kouka is currently second in the top scorers chart in the Portuguese League this season with 12 goals, five behind Porto striker Jackson Martinez.

The 21-year-old attacker scored a late goal for Rio Ave during the 2-0 win over Penafiel in the 25th match-day of the Primeira Liga on Sunday.

Kouka has been in brilliant form for Rio Ave with his tally reaching eleven league goals, scoring two goals in the Portuguese Cup and one goal in the Europa League so far this season. Rio Ave are sitting in eight place on the Portuguese League Table with 33 points.  

The Pharaohs forward joined Rio Ave as a youngster in early 2012.
