Hull City's Egyptian winger Ahmed Elmohamady said on Tuesday he is satisfied with his side's performance against Chelsea during their Premier League game on Sunday, adding that the Tigers have to take some positives from their defeat.

The Tigers made a great come-back from an early 2-0 down as the Egyptian winger and Adel Hernandez leveled the score before half-time. However, French striker Loic Remy scored the winner for the Premier League leaders 13 minutes before full- time.

"If you take the first ten minutes out of it, it was a great performance by the lads," Elmohamady was quoted as saying by the clubs official website on Tuesday.

"We have to take all of the positives from it into our next game.

"Of course we were disappointed with the final result, but we showed a great attitude to come back from 2-0 down before half time.

"To do that against the best team in this country and then be disappointed that we didn’t go on to win the game with the chances that we had shows the type of performance it was.

"The character and belief was always there and now we have built the confidence to go with that," he added.

The 27-year-old believed that his sides performance during Sunday's clash will help the team in their battle for survival in the Premier League table.

"We’re at a tough time in the season now with a lot of tough games coming up. We have to make sure we are confident and concentrating for the next step."

Hull City are 15th in the league table with 28 points, three points above third-bottom Burnley.

They have tough fixtures that see them face six of the current top eight during the upcoming League games.
