Ahmed Elmohamady creates his second goal of the season as Sunderland crush West Ham 3-0 in the final day of the Premier League

Egyptian winger Ahmed Elmohamady set up the opener for Dutch midfielder Boudewijn Zenden as Sunderland finished tenth in the Premier League following a comfortable 3-0 win at already-relegated West Ham on Sunday.

Elmohamady, who played the full 90 minutes, helped Sunderland open the scoring after 17 minutes when his cross from the right found Zenden, who played his last game for the Black Cats, to send a looping header into the back of the net.

It was the second assist Elmohamady has provided since joining Sunderland on season-long loan from Egyptian side ENPPI last summer, having created a goal in Sunderland's 3-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers on the first of January.

Benin midfielder Stephane Sessegnon doubled the lead six minutes after the interval and substitute Cristian Riveros completed the rout with a last-minute goal.

Sunderland earned a top-half finish with 47 points.

Elmohamady is expected to pen a permanent deal with Sunderland after making a fine impact in his first season in the elite Premier League.
