Italian reports have suggested a possible race between Seria A rivals AC Milan and Inter Milan over Egypt winger Mohamed Salah.

English Premier League Champions Chelsea are considering selling the 23-year-old, while Italian giants Fiorentina want him permanently after a successful six-month-loan spell.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that AC Milan President Silvio Berlusconi is aiming to bring Salah in as one of three new forwards he is targeting.

Sky Italia also reported that AC Milan are watching the proceedings at the Stadio Artemio Franchi and are ready to negotiate to take Salah to the San Siro this summer.

AC Milan is expected to face competition from city rivals Inter, who are also hoping to snatch Salah from Fiorentina, according to other Italian reports.

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are also reported to want the player, who made an immediate impact with Fiorentina, scoring six league goals, helping his new team finish fourth in the Serie A table.
