Newly-signed Real Betis full-back Amro Tarek has been ruled out of Saturday’s La Liga clash at Real Madrid due to technical reasons.

The 23-year-old Egyptian left-back, who joined from Gouna for a reported fee of €300,000 in the close season, has yet to make his debut for the newly-promoted side, after similarly missing the opening 1-1 home draw with Villareal.

Tarek, who was born in the United States, has become the second Egyptian to join a Spanish outfit, following Mido’s brief loan stint with Celta Vigo in 2003.

Real Betis host Real Sociedad in the league the following weekend.
