Egypt's midfielder Trezeguet needs more time: Anderlecht coach Hasi

Anderlecht coach Besnik Hasi says Egyptian midfielder Mahmoud 'Trezeguet' Hassan still needs a time to adapt to the Belgium team.

Since joining the team from Egypt's Ahly on a season-long loan in the summer, Trezeguet made a single official appearance, as a substitute, with Anderlecht against Westerlo in the domestic league on 27 December.

The Belgium side is currently in need of a right winger and Hasi believes that Trezeguet could be the solution but not at the time being.

"The staff are looking after a new player for that position", the coach was quoted as saying on the club's official website.

"We have Trezeguet, Lukebakio and Kawaya, three talented players with great skills. But they need more time. I want a winger with added value," the coach added.

Earlier in December, Trezeguet rejoined his side's training sessions after recovering from shoulder surgery that sidelined him for around two months.

The 22-year-old picked up his dislocated shoulder injury during an Egyptian training session in the United Arab Emirates, where they faced Zambia in a friendly game in October.

After 21 rounds, Anderlecht currently lies second in the league table with 41 points, two behind leaders Gent.
