Egypt star Mohamed Salah believes he is versatile enough to play anywhere across Liverpool's attacking line of three after sealing a €42 million-move from AS Roma on Thursday.

Salah, who notched 15 goals in 31 Serie A games for Roma last season, will now be vying for a place in Liverpool's attack, mostly occupied by Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho last season.

In an interview with Liverpool TV channel after being announced a player at Anfield, the 25-year-old Salah, who is usually deployed down the right, said he is no stranger to playing either on the left or in the middle.

"Last season with Roma we played five at the back and two strikers; I was a second striker, like a number 10," he told LFCTV.

"I have played on the right. Sometimes I go on the left. I can play anywhere up front.

"(Liverpool's front players) played so well last season. Mane played a fantastic season, (Philippe) Coutinho, (Roberto) Firmino, (Adam) Lallana - all of them had a great season last year.

"I have improved 100 percent. Everything (has improved). Even my personality was different. I was a kid (at Chelsea). I was 20 or 21. Now I'm four years older and everything is different. I have lots of experience in three clubs."

"Liverpool haven't won the Premier League for a long time. We have a great team and very good players. I was watching the games last year and everyone was giving 100 percent to win something.

"Everyone can see the coach gives everything. I hope to see that, together, we can give everything to win something for the club, for the supporters and for us."

Best years of my career

Ex-Arab Contractors man Salah, who signed a 5-year-contract with Liverpool, did not forget to thank former club Roma for "the best time in his career" he spent there last season.

"I would like to thank AS Roma, the players, and the fans," Salah wrote on his official facebook account after signing Liverpool's contracts.

"With Roma, I had the best years of my career so far and I will have nothing but gratitude and great memories." The Egyptian winger concluded.

Salah enjoyed a highly successful season with Roma, helping them finish as runners-up in the Italian Serie A behind champions Juvenuts.

The former Basel, Chelsea and Fiorentina player scored 19 goals and provided 15 assists in 41 appearances in all competitions with Roma last season.

He also made 52 appearances with Egypt national team, scoring 29 international goals.
