After routing Porto 5-0 in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League last 16, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised the performance of his team's players, including Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah.

Salah scored his 30th goal of the season in style with a mesmerising piece of ball-juggling during the victory over Porto in the UEFA Champions League late on Wednesday.

"He (Salah) plays a good season, I recognise that already," Klopp told the post-game press conference.

"But it’s of course very important for us."

"I think each goal was kind of a winner and that’s very important," the Liverpool boss added.

"We spoke about Mo in the last few weeks, completely deserved, but obviously Sadio had his comeback tonight, very good, and Roberto was there again after outstanding work-rate again."

Senegalese forward Sadio Mane grabbed a hat-trick, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah scored the other goals as Liverpool demolished Porto 5-0 away with an irresistible attacking display in their Champions League round-of-16 tie on Wednesday.

"It was good, Ox obviously as well. Congratulations but hopefully he [Salah] will not stop." Klopp said.

The 25-year-old winger, who joined Liverpool from the Serie A side Roma, has taken the Premier League by storm, scoring 22 goals to take his tally to 30 goals in 36 appearances with Liverpool in all competitions.

He was rewarded for his brilliant run of form last November with the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award, as well as winning the 2017 African Player of the Year award.
