Porto's Algerian midfielder Yacine Brahimi heaped praise on Liverpool's Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah, describing him as a great player.
Both sides will face off on Tuesday at Anfield Stadium in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 on Tuesday.
The Egyptian winger found the net in the first leg that saw the Reds outclass Porto 5-0 in Portugal.
"Salah is a great player. He was named as African player of the year," Brahimi told UEFA on Monday.
"He has a great capacities and he is capable to make the difference... He plays in a good team and I am happy for him," he said.
The 26-year-old put on many fine displays with Liverpool since joining them last summer, scoring 32 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions.
