Egypt football star Mohamed Salah has appeared in an entertainment video released by Liverpool Football Club on Wednesday in which he surprised young fans who thought they were in a commentary competition – the first prize of which was to meet him.
In the video, the fans – all children and teenagers – start off by providing their own commentary on Salah, showering him with praise.
"He is the best player in world football at the moment," says one.
"I like the fact that he moved from Italy all the way to England and made this much of an impact," says another.
"He is an Egyptian king!" and "He's got good hair," others add.
Suddenly, Salah bursts through a poster of himself, giving the competitors a big surprise.
"Oh my God! I've just met Mohamed Salah!" shouts a boy, while another says that he was about to cry.
The 24-year-old Egyptian player Salah commented on the experience of shooting the video, expressing his happiness at sharing a day with the kids.
"It's a great surprise. Honestly, I didn't expect it to be like that. I am very happy to be here and to share this day with these kids," said Salah.
Salah is playing his best-ever season so far, winning praise from critics and fans after topping the English Premier League top-scorers charts with an impressive 28 goals.
