Egypt winger Mohamed Salah has smashed another record for Liverpool after his hat-trick against Bournemouth in a 4-0 Premier League win on Saturday.

The dazzling 26-year-old became the fastest Liverpool player to score 40 Premier League goals as he set his record in just 52 appearances.

He was in a generous mood as he gave his own man-of-the match award to his teammate James Milner, who hit another milestone after making his 500th Premier League appearance to become only the 13th player to reach the mark.

"He's had an amazing career. I have to congratulate him on an amazing career -- he deserves this today," Salah told Milner on Sky Sports. "I will not take it."

"It wasn't a bad way at all (to get back among the goals)...I enjoyed the last one the most. I was calm.

"My expectations are very high. I know everyone else's expectations of me are also very high but the most important thing is for us to win each game and be top of the table," he concluded.
