Egyptian international striker serves notice with his performance in friendly win for Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp praised Mohamed Zidan’s performance during the 4-0 win over Basel in a friendly game on Sunday.

“Mohamed Zidan did a good job, particularly the last 10 minutes before his planned substitution were really good,” Klopp quoted saying on the club’s website on Sunday.

The International forward has revealed that he is happy with his form after recovering from a knee injury and is willing to book his place in the starting eleven with more goals.

“I am totally satisfied with my performance. I made the first goal and assisted in the second with my teammates," The Pharaohs star said in an interview with the German club website.

The 29-year old father of a new born has lately expressed that he misses his small family, Danish partner (Stina) and son (Adam), during the team’s training campaign in Jerez but he also asserted that he is concentrating to be prepared for the second round of the Bundesliga.

“We are having a busy week here in Jerez, We will have another two test matches,” Zidan said adding “I think we are on the right track."

The BVB finished the first round in the driving seat of Bundesliga, 10 points ahead of FSV Mainz and 14 points ahead of fifth placed Bayern Munich.
