Egypt and Bani Yas forward hops to win the Gulf Cup before leaving the UAE side this month
Egypt forward Mohamed Abou-Treika reveals he will push to win the Gulf Cup trophy with Bani Yas before finishing his loan deal with the UAE side in May.
"I hope to win the Gulf Cup title with Bani Yas before leaving them," Abou-Treika told UAE newspaper Al-Bayan.
Emirati giants Bani Yas drew 1-1 with Qatari sides Al-Khor in the first leg of the Gulf Cup final on Friday.
"Bani Yas didn't secure the title, despite the draw in Qatar," he added.
"I ask my teammates to be purposeful and prepare well for the second leg on Thursday to get the tournament title," Abou-Treika said.
Abou-Treika, one of Egypt's best-ever footballers, has scored four goals for Bani Yas since joining from Ahly on a six-month loan deal in January.
Early Friday, the 34-year-old, Abou-Treika revealed that he will return to Cairo when he finishes his loan deal with United Arab Emirates side Bani Yas in May and he will join Ahly squad for the preparations of the CAF Champions League group stage opener against Zamalek in July.
"Ahly management told me not extend my stay with Bani Yas as they need my services,
"I can’t refuse Ahly's request despite Bani Yas' offer to extend my loan deal or buy my contract permanently," he said.
