Ivory Coast's striker Didier Drogba announced on Monday that he will leave his current club, the Turkish side Galatasaray, by the end of the season.
The 36-year-old attacker joined Galatasaray in the 2013 season from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua and has since delivered outstanding performances that have brought him into the spotlight – especially lifting the Turkish Cup earlier this week.
"I thank Turkish fans for supporting me since my arrival to Turkey, the place I feel is like my home land," Drogba wrote on his official Instagram official account.
"I announce that this season will be the last season for me in Turkey as I will leave the club next summer," he added.
The former Chelsea star has reportedly been chased by European top flight teams including the Blues and Juventus.
