Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel have extended the contract of their veteran French coach Roger Lemerre for two years.
The 72-year-old coach, who won Euro 2000 with France, joined the Tunisian side for six months in December.
"We would like Roger to stay. He keep doing good job in the domestic league and CAF Confederation Cup," Etoile du Sahel official Nezar Sharf Eldin told Supersport on Monday.
"We talked with him about extending his contract and he accepted.
"He will sign a two-year contract. Some of the fans think that two years is too much for a 72-year-old head coach but we trust him to build a new strong team that can win trophies."
Lemerre is no stranger to Tunisian football, having managed the Tunisian national team from 2002 to 2008, leading the Carthage Eagle to the African Cup of Nations title in 2004.
