Bayern Munich's Moroccan defender Mehdi Benatia expressed his displeasure over the Confederation of African Football's (CAF) decision to disqualify his national team from the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in January, adding that Moroccans are frustrated with the "unfair" decision.

Morocco was thrown out of the 2015 African Cup of Nations and stripped of its hosting rights Tuesday after refusing to commit to the scheduled dates early next year because of fears over Ebola.

"All Moroccans are frustrated with the CAF's decision to disqualify Morocco from the Nations Cup,'' Benatia told Moutakhab.net on Thursday.

"It's really unfair. We are well prepared to host the tournament, but the health of our citizens is more important than the Nations Cup," he added.
