Torino beat Hellas Verona 3-1 Saturday for its fourth successive victory in Serie A.
The visitors went ahead in the 32nd minute when Josef Martinez took advantage of a defensive error to combine with Fabio Quagliarella and beat Verona goalkeeper Francesco Benussi at the near post.
Torino doubled its advantage six minutes into the second half after Rafa Marques brought down Martinez and Quagliarella fired under the bar for his ninth league goal of the season.
Verona gave itself hope when Luca Toni reduced the deficit seven minutes from full time.
However, Omar El Kaddouri sealed the match in injury time, racing from his own half before slotting into the far corner from just outside the area.
Leader Juventus hosts fierce rival AC Milan later.
