Ghana and Marseille midfielder Andre Ayew has expressed his great delight after being named best African player in France's Ligue 1 on Monday.

Ayew, 25, finished first ahead of Ivory Coast's Max-Alain Gradel (Saint-Etienne) and Tunisia's Aymen Abdennour (Monaco).
