Ivory Coast and PSG full-back Serge Aurier was summoned for questioning at the club's headquarters on Monday prior to his sanction, a statement read on the club's website.

"The PSG player answered to questions following his statements on a social media in the night of 13 to 14 February. The PSG management will notify to the player its decision within the legal deadlines," the statement read.

According to French sports site l'Equipe, the decision will not be made before 24 hours.

The 23-year old defender was seen in a video posted online saying insulting comment towards his coach Laurent Blanc and some of his teammates including Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Aurier later issued an apology and said he "would accept all consequences." However, he ruled out the possibility of being sacked by PSG.

"I took it very badly. One can think certain things and have opinions. We are in a democratic country but two years ago I made an effort to bring this boy to Paris. I find it pitiful," Blanc said, stressing that he was very angered by the insults.

The club has suspended him until a formal decision is made.
