Congo's disappointing start in the World Cup qualifiers cost French coach Pierre Lechantre his job, local media said on Tuesday.
After failing to reach next year's Africa Cup of Nations, Congo struggled in the World Cup qualifiers, losing their first two games in Group E.
They slumped to a 1-2 defeat at home to group leaders Egypt before losing to Uganda 1-0 on Saturday, remaining at the bottom without a single point.
Congo have claimed only one win in seven games since Lechantre took over in January.
