Morocco’s Wydad draw at USM Alger in CL semis

Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca played out a goalless draw with Algeria’s USM Algerat Stade du 5 Juillet in Algiers in the Champions League semi-final first leg on Friday.

Eyeing a Champions League final berth after exiting the competition from the semis last season, Wydad will be hoping to settle the tie at their home ground next month.

The other semi-final clash features Tunisia’s Etoile du Sahel and Ahly, who eye their first Champions League title since 2013.

Ahly visit Etoile in Sousse on Sunday.
