Queens Park Moroccan midfielder Adel Taarabt has been praised by coach Neil Warnock who was surprised with his positive response after returning to the team’s squad.

After a two-month absence, the international midfielder played a few minutes against Manchester United and Sunderland, producing a fine performance during the two games

"I'm really pleased for him," the QPR boss told The Ealing Gazette.

Taarabt revealed last week his displeasure over his lack of playing time with Queens Park, as he appeared as a permanent substitute during the last two months, expressing his desire to leave Queens Park in January.

"He's trained well and the lads have got him back in the fold. They've told him why they want to kick him in the teeth and he's responded in the right way,’’ Warnock added.

"I wanted to bring Taarabt on. I didn't want to put him out wide. I wanted him around the hub.

"I thought all the lads accepted what he did. We know he's going to make mistakes, but in general he played really well." the Queens Park boss concluded.
