Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien have decided to sack German coach Reinhard Stumpf because he doesn’t speak French; the second language in the Arab country.

“It was very difficult to deal with a coach who speaks such weak French. Lack of communication between him and both the players and management affected the results badly,” the club president told a TV program late on Monday.

“Our decision doesn’t underestimate the coach and his abilities at all. The name of new coach will be revealed by Friday,” added the chairman.

The 50-year old coach, Stumpf, who coached Saudi’s Al-Hilal before, took charge of the Tunisian giants last summer signing a one-year contract.

Seven-time Tunisian league title holders , CS Sfaxien, are now 6th in the domestic league table with eight points - 11 behind leaders Bizertin.
