Two days before holding the draw of the African Champions League knockout stage, South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane expressed his relief that he doesn't fear any of the opponents in the coming round.
The 2020 African Champions League quarterfinals draw will take place in Cairo on 5 February as eight teams from the African top flight marched on in the continental tournament.
Mamelodi Sundowns, who qualified for the quarterfinals after topping Group C, are prepped to face the big African teams, Egypt's Ahly, Zamalek or Morocco's Raja Club Athletic, who reached the knockout stage after snatching the runners-up places in their groups.
"We have some experience in the African Champions League and we are still developing our squad that helped the team to lead Group C," Mosimane was quoted as saying on the South African website, Kickoff, on Monday.
"We are ready to face any team, we will play against Zamalek, Ahly or Raja. The most important thing is not to lose when we play the away games but in the home games we will dominate the [pitch]," the Mamelodi Sundowns coach added.
Mamelodi Sundowns defeated Egypt's Ahly 5-1 on aggregate in the last edition of the African Champions League quarterfinals and they also defeated Zamalek 3-1 on aggregate in the tournament's final in the 2016 season.
