Morocco midfielder will be out Ivory Coast game because of a calf injury

Morocco national team midfielder Younes Belhanda is confirmed to be out of actions for three weeks after sustaining a calf injury in the 1-1 draw with Gambia in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers Group C on Saturday.

The 22-year-old, Belhanda suffered the calf injury in the 70th minute of Gambia draw and underwent to prime medical tests that showed the player needs three weeks in rehab.

"Belhanda will be out of the coming game against Ivory Coast on 9 June due to the calf injury he sustained during Gambia game," Morocco national team doctor told reports after the game.

"We handed Belhanda three weeks as a rest then he will rejoin the regular trainings after his recovery," he added.

Morocco midfielder Houssine Kharja salvaged a 1-1 draw with Gambia in Group C of the qualifiers after snatching his team’s only goal in the 76th minute in the World Cup qualifiers on Saturday.
