Montpellier’s Younes Belhanda said on Sunday he would stay at the French champions next season despite being courted by several European clubs.
“I decided to complete my adventure with Montpellier,” Belhanda said on his twitter account.
The 22-year-old had earlier been linked to several European giants, including Premier League champions Manchester City and Arsenal and Italian side Inter Milan.
Belhanda played a pivotal role in helping Montpellier win the French Ligue 1 and was named the competition’s best foreign player.
“I want to play the Champions League with my home club. It will be so different,” he added.
Belhanda, who joined Montpellier's youth Academy in 2003, has two years remaining on his contract with the club.
