Ghana’s Chelsea clinched a 2-2 draw against DR Congo's TP Mazembe in the second round of the CAF Champions League group stage on Sunday.
The hosts' striker, Tresor Mputu, netted twice in the first half at the 11th and 32nd minutes. But Emmanuel Clottey's penalty in the 70th minute put the Berekum-based side back in the game before the 84th minute equaliser.
Chelsea now have four points after defeating Egypt's Zamalek 3-2 in the first round, while Mazembe gained their first point having been defeated 2-1 by Egypt's Ahly.
The two Cairo-based clubs, bitter rivals Ahly and Zamalek, will face off on Sunday night. The match will be held behind closed doors due to ongoing security concerns.
