Ghana's Berekum Chelsea coach Hans Van der Pluijm has urged his players to prove their worth when they go up against Egypt's Ahly in the third round of the CAF Champions League group stage next month.
The Ghanaian side, which is making their first debut at the continental tournament, were held to a 2-2 draw against DR Congo's TP Mazembe in the second round on Sunday. They currently have four points after defeating Egypt's Zamalek 3-2 in the first round.
Meanwhile, Ahly is now leading Group B with six points after two wins over TP Mazembe and Zamalek.
"We played a very good second half. Everything now depends on determination and confidence, and we can show that in our next match," Van der Pluijm said in the wake of Sunday's game.
Ahly, the winners of six CAF Champions League trophies, is now in a must-win situation against Chelsea if they are to continue their successful campaign for their first African title since 2008.
