Heerenveen's Moroccan forward Oussama Assaidi said on Tuesday that his planned move to Dutch giants Ajax might fall through if the latter failed to raise its offering price.

Ajax reached an agreement with Heerenveen a few days ago to acquire the Moroccan forward's services, but the deal has not been finalised yet since Assaidi turned down Ajax's salary proposal.

"Ajax is a good club, that's for sure, but I want a good salary," Assaidi was quoted as saying by Moroccan football website Mountakhab. "If I don't have a good salary, I'll stay with Heerenveen."

The 23-year-old forward favourably impressed Heerenveen last season, scoring ten goals in 27 appearances, thus allowing his side to end fifth in the Dutch League.
