The manager of Tunisian champions Esperance has said he hopes his team face Ahly in the final of the African Champions League.
Esperance reached the final after beating DR Congo’s Mazembe 1-0 in the second leg of their semifinal on Saturday.
“We are ready for Ahly. It would be a tough final between two Arab rivals,” manager Nabil Maaloul said after the match.
The Red Castles are hosting Nigeria’s Sunshine Stars on Sunday in the second leg of their semifinal. The first leg ended 3-3.
“I hope Ahly defeat Sunshine because we want a champion from the Arab world,” Maaloul added.
