Arsenal's Ivorian forward Gervinho admitted on Thursday that he was "flattered" by reports that Ligue 1 giants Marseille were planning to hire him this summer, as his future with Arsenal remains uncertain.

The 26-year-old, who joined Arsenal in the summer of 2011, found it difficult to play regularly with the Gunners last season, when he played the full 90 minutes in only three matches.

The French giants, meanwhile, have expressed their desire to hire the player this summer. Spain's Atletico Madrid and Turkish side Galatasaray have also both reportedly shown interest in the player.

"If I want to leave Arsenal there will be plenty of takers, Marseille being one of them," Gervinho told Ivory Coast newspaper Le Patriote.

"I can say yes or no, but it's always flattering to have teams interested in you," he added.
