Nigeria's boss Stephan Keshi has made it clear that Kelechi Iheanacho will not be included in the Super Eagles' squad for the World Cup.
The 17-year-old striker shone in the U-17 World Cup as he was named tournament's best player after steering Nigeria to the title but Keshi believes that he does not have the sufficient experience to feature in the World Cup.
"Iheanacho is a good player, but he has to play in a team and gain League experience and not just perform in the Under-17 World Cup," Keshi told Kickoff on Tuesday.
"What he needs now is to start playing regularly for a team so that he remains in top shape as a footballer and continue to develop into top class footballer.
"As for considering him for the World Cup camp, that doesn’t look real right now," he added.
