The Ghanaian midfielder wishes to leave Fulham in January in order to preserve his World Cup dreams.

Fulham's Ghanaian midfielder Derek Boateng said on Sunday he is hoping to be loaned next January in order to take the chance to play regularly.

The 30 year-old joined the Cottagers, last summer, but he made only two appearances since his arrival.

Boateng believed that his lack of playing time could destroy his dream of participating in the next year's World Cup with Ghana.

"It is every players dream to play in the World Cup and I want to go to Brazil to help my national team, (but) I cannot go to Brazil while I continue to warm the bench at Fulham," he told Football411.

"I was signed by Martin (Jol) and he is no more with us, so I have started speaking to Fulham and hopefully they will understand me and allow me to go on loan.

"Scott (Parker) and the other players are doing well, and I don't think I can be guaranteed a permanent place with the starting line-up.

"I know this request won't cause any problem for both parties."
