Nabil Bentaleb could reserve a place in the Algerian squad in this year World Cup as coach Vahid Halilhodzic showed interest in the player following strong performances with the Premier League's Tottenham during Boxing day.
The 19-year-old, joined the Spurs last summer but he made his first appearance in December and has played five times so far.
The French-born player played for France's youth national team but he is still eligible for the Deserts Warriors because he didn't made any senior appearance with the Blues.
Algeria are looking to strengthen their squad before the World Cup.
The North African country earned their fourth qualification in the World Cup were drawn in Group H alongside Belgium, Russia and Korea.
