AC Milan's new-signing Adel Taarabt said on Wednesday he is delighted after completing a "dream move" to the Rossoneri, adding that he is determined to show his true worth.

The Morocco forward joined Milan from Queens Park Rangers on loan until the end of the season.

"For me it was a great joy to hear about Milan’s interest in me,'' Taarabt was quoted as saying by Footbal litalia on Wednesday.

"I’ve got loads of enthusiasm and once I passed the medical tests and completed all the admin, it was a dream come true signing for Milan.

"I’m honoured to be here, I’m at a top club. It’s a big change for me and I cannot wait to make my debut with this shirt.

"However, I’m really motivated and I can’t wait to show my worth in Serie A and play my part in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid."

The 24-year-old, who is known for being a temperamental player, played down the controversy surrounding his character, saying that has a great respect for Milan coach Seedorf.

"I haven’t got a difficult character. Perhaps some find it hard to accept direct and sincere people," he said.

"In football in general, these type of characters aren’t always appreciated. I’m really the complete opposite, I like to joke and this can be misinterpreted.
