The Tunisian Olympic team makes it to the third round in the London 2012 Olympic Games qualifier after snatching a single goal victory over Malawi on Saturday

Tunisia Olympic team went through with a 3-0 aggregate victory, having defeated Malawi 2-0 at home two weeks ago.

Esperance striker Driss Mhirsi scored the only goal of the game to edge his side to advance to the next phase of the London 2012 Olympic Games qualifier after marching on 3-0 on aggregate.

The victory boosted the Tunisians’ chances of reaching the finals of the quadrennial games to be staged in London.

Etoile Sahel striker Ahmed Akaichi, high on his victory was quoted in a post-match interview: “We were able to play our game record a double. The victory marks the birth of a new team that intends to go far in every tournament.”

In other matches, Senegal qualified to the third round of the tournament on the away goal rule after the 1-1 draw with Angola on Saturday.
