ASEC Mimosas defeated Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa 1-0, thanks to a goal from Foba Stevens Koffi in the 76th minute of the game.
The Ivorian side reached the competition's quarters on the away goal rule as they lost the first leg 2-1 a week ago.
A late goal from Hamza Lahmar in the 84th minute lifted them to the Confederation Cup's group stages at the expense of Horoya of Guinea, earning a 1-0 win on aggregate.
Cotton Sport booked their ticket to the competition's quarters after a 2-2 away draw against Petro Atletico in Luanda.
The Cameroonian side won the first leg 2-1 in Garoua last week.
