With new UEFA spending controls coming into effect, Inter CEO Ernesto Paolillo tells The Associated Press that Leonardo will have to rely on bringing young players into the side.
Paolillo says in the offseason Inter will not spend "crazy" amounts, adding that "we have a lot of developmental players in our academy. It's time to play with them." Leonardo was hired in December until June 2012 after Rafa Benitez was fired.
Inter's only realistic chance of a title this season is the Italian Cup, but Paolillo insists "the man of the future is Leonardo and we will continue with him."
