Barcelona says it will take its case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport after UEFA rejected its appeal of a fine imposed for its fans' overtures in support of Catalan independence.
UEFA fined the club 40,000 euros ($44,000) for the shouts for ''independence'' and the waving of pro-independence flags by Catalans supporting the regional government's bid to secede from the rest of Spain, during a Champions League match against Bayer Leverkusen in September.
UEFA had already fined Barcelona 30,000 euros for pro-secession shouts and flags at the Champions League final last season, when Barcelona beat Juventus in Berlin.
