Galatasaray says on its website the 29-year-old will be paid 2.7 million ($3.8 million) for the first year, 2.9 million ($4.1 million) for the second year and 3 million ($4.3 million) for each of the next two years, with an additional €7,500 ($10,650) fee per game.
The eight-time Spain international moved to Olympiakos from Liverpool last summer.
Galatasaray finished in eighth place last season, its worst result in years. The Istanbul-based club made major signings this summer, including Ivory Coast international Emmanuel Eboue, Uruguay’s Fernando Muslera and Felipe Melo of Brazil.
