West Ham says the club will ban for life any fans found responsible for attacking Manchester United's team bus before an English Premier League match.

Objects were thrown at the bus as it reached West Ham's Upton Park on Tuesday for the club's last game there before moving to the Olympic Stadium next season. Video footage showed damage to sections of the tinted windows of the bus, while images on social media showed United players cowering inside the bus.

West Ham released a statement Wednesday saying the actions of some supporters ''was not acceptable and we will work with the police to identify those responsible and ban them for life.''

The Football Association is investigating the incident.
