Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has said his team's 2-2 draw with Barcelona on Sunday made the world happy because it had everything people like.
"The world will be happy because often these matches are too tactical and end goalless. The match had everything that people like," Mourinho was quoted as saying on Real Madrid's official website.
"Those fans that are in different time zones across Europe will have been awake and enjoyed this Clasico a lot and perhaps are already asking for another one in the Cup or the Champions League," he added.
The 49-year-old tactician praised Real Madrid's performance in the game.
"I really enjoyed my team’s display... For me, the result reflects the match.
"I'm happy because I like the club, the players, the city and the project. I arrived two years ago and there was a difference in the quality of football between Madrid and Barcelona and now, Barcelona have maintained the high level and both teams are equal," the Meringues coach concluded.
Real Madrid came away with a point but failed to secure the victory they needed to trim the gap with leaders Barcelona after the outstanding Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo each struck twice on Sunday.
The Whites' defender Pepe praised the performance of his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo who completed the game despite suffering a sprained left shoulder, claiming he is the best player in the world.
“Cristiano Ronaldo was incredible. He played very well for the whole match. For me and the Madrid supporters he is the best player in the world, he is a very complete footballer."
After Sunday's draw, Real Madrid players will start preparing for their next league match against Celta de Vigo on Tuesday.
