Volleyball: Poland hit Egypt with 5th World Cup defeat

With four matches left, Egypt is in 10th place with seven points from only two wins

Egypt lost for the fifth successive time at the FIVB 2019 Men's World Cup in their game against Poland, which ended 3-0 on Thursday morning.

After being defeated (25-19, 25-18, 25-16), the national team has dropped down to the 10th place on the standings table; meanwhile, this is the 6th victory for the Polish team, which strengthened their mission in fighting for the title.

 

Egypt will face the hosts Japan in the next game on Friday at 12:20 Cairo local time (GMT+2).

The Pharaohs had won their first two matches against Australia and Iran before losing four consecutive games to Brazil, Canada, Russia, and Italy.

The Volleyball World Cup comprises 12 teams: Japan, Egypt, Italy, Russia, Poland, Iran, Australia, Tunisia, USA, Canada, Brazil, and Argentina.
