Third-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland advanced to the second round of Wimbledon on Monday, beating Magdalena Rybarikova of Slovakia 6-3, 6-3.
Radwanska, who has twice reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon, played the opening match on Court 2. She could next face five-time champion Venus Williams, who was due to play Elena Vesnina.
Rybarikova took an injury timeout after slipping and falling behind the baseline while trailing 2-1 in the second set. She returned to the match with her left leg wrapped but did not seem bothered by it the rest of the way.
