Twice a year, Paris Fashion Week draws the fashion world's attention to the French capital while speculations for Hollywood stars' choices for their red carpet dresses mount.
Get carried away with the beauty as a peek at Paris Haute Couture week، running from January 24th and concluding today، sheds light on upcoming trends that could dominate the Academy Awards.
Black and pale shades
Unlike previous years, this year's minimal use of bold colors was noticeable, with designers opting mainly for pale hues and, of course, the ever-present and flattering black. Most notably was Chanels' Lagerfield whose creations revived the House's panache for beige.
Exposed shoulders and halter necks were a staple on nearly every runway throughout the week, most notably in Dior and Georges Chakra.
Poof and Bell Sleeves
A new silhouette dominated many of the shows with designs of Chanel, Celine, and Armani featuring poof-sleeves and bell-sleeves.
Floral dresses are still in from previous seasons. This came in bold and big shapes on satin and silk dresses.

Ruffled and pleated dresses and skirts have been trending for a while now, and with a glance at the latest Stephane Rolland, Armani Prive and Celine creations, it is clear that they are here to stay.
Haute couture is usually linked with the use of sequins and embellishment, adding sparkle to the glittering flash of paparazzi.
Pouched belts and insects
One of the trends that raised a few eyebrows was the use of some insects in jewelery and embellishments, and belts with pouches that could fit smart phones. Shiaparelli and Chanel led the way in this style.
