Shows fully displayed collections of Dior, Armani, Valentino, Chanel, and others. The final days featured the creations of Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad along with jewelry designs of famous jeweler houses, among which were Tiffany & Co., and Bulgari.
Creations of Donatella Versace for Versace Haute couture was one of the main highlights and most beautiful and heavily attended shows of the week, featuring mainlyflowing satin and silk beaded gowns in silver and blue shades, many of which were hooded.
The events also celebrated the return of famous designs of Schiaparelli after an absence of almost sixty years. The show was a main highlight of the week and was marked by a heavy and star studded attendance including Elle McPherson and Carla Bruni.
Schiaparelli made a tribute to the founder Elsa who was one of the designers credited with encouraging women to be bold in the creations back in 1930s. the collection featured designs that Gaultier described as "feminine and surrealist at the same time" including taffeta dresses with black blazers , a mixture of silk and feathers, and short bolero jackets.
Gaultier himself in his show drew a huge amount of attention and appraisal by his silk and organza collection which was inspired by butterflies.
Karl Lagrfield was as usual the ultimate example of creativity, with a stage featuring an orchestra, two staircases, and models in running shoes! The designs were a beautiful range of dresses mostly clinched at the waist, in pale colors ranging from white and ivory to pink and lilac.
