Bloomberg website listed Egypt as among 20 destinations to visit in 2017, saying the country is now ready to receive tourists after overcoming years of political turmoil.

“In addition to heightened safety, many brand-name hospitality firms have started recommitting to Egypt,” the site said.

Bloomberg ranked the Giza Pyramids at the top of its list for sites to visit in Egypt, and determined March as the best time for tourists to visit the country.

“Egypt has shed its years of social and political unrest but has yet to regain the crowds that long plagued its iconic sights,” Bloomberg said on its report.

“Travelers will find the country offers a more rewarding experience than ever before,” the report said.

The Bloomberg list had destinations from all over the world including Finland, Portugal, Malta, Peru, Colombia and Rwanda.
